Design a beautiful life through the healing art of home.
Your home is a mirror of who you are, and a map to who youâre becomingâa reflection of your subconscious, a window into your soul.
Your home isnât just the place you live. Itâs the space that holds your life; itâs where your life actually happens.
Where intimate moments are shared, treasured belongings are kept, where your heart and history is held. Where you sleep, grieve, build, and dream. Where you decideâagain and againâwhat to let go of and what to carry forward.
So many people see interior design as something superficial. Spaces styled for a photograph or popularity contest.
Here, we see it as something so much deeper, more meaningful.
Here, interior design is a relationship. A way of meeting your Self, your soul, through the sacred space you call home.
Home is where you design your life.
If youâre new here, this is what I teach through Subconscious Home Mappingâą, my signature process for mapping the connection between your inner world, your home, and the quality of your life. So you can use your home as a sacred co-creatorâa transformative âtoolâ (in quotes because your home is alive and shouldnât be objectified)âas you cross whatever life threshold you have been standing at.
You will find two rooms in this publication.
The House: where youâll find essays about the âhowâ. Subconscious Home Mappingâą teachings and real life applications, musings on where holistic interior design meets mystical magical mythological inner work (manifestation mostly gives me the ick these days), non-performative or appropriative rituals and altar work, my favorite places to source eco-conscious/non-toxic/soulful objects/furniture/materials, and all things lifestyle design through home.
The Heart (How Does It Feel?): where I (the heart behind this house) will be writing about whatever is alive and true. Usually in the realms of feeling, healing, creativity, love, family, embodied business, writing, insert here. This is a space for my unbranded expression and will be of interest to those who want to go deeper with me. If you donât, you can subscribe to The House only and be spared. ;)
Hi, Iâm Bryanna.
Mama, Healing Artist, Writer, Designer, Founder of House of Heart, and Woman being deeply shaped by the multigenerational home I share with my husband, three toddlers, mother-in-law, and grandma.
Iâve been obsessively studying and exploring the healing arts for two decades. (1/3 Projector in Human Designâiykyk. When we are interested, we go alllll the way.) What started as a desperate attempt to understand the chaos, dysfunction, and mental illness that colored the walls of my childhood homes turned into an endless passion for the power and potential of human transformation. My explorations took me from: enrolling in college to study psychology with dreams of becoming a therapist, to being introduced to plant medicine and traditional wisdom teachings at 19 that challenged what I was learning through modern western psychology and inspired me to go to law school for mental health activism work instead; to grief cracking me open at 22 and walking me into a yoga teacher training turned introduction to reiki and somatic healing, a cPTSD diagnosis by a holistic therapist who helped me begin to bridge all these worlds together, and to some 15 years since of continual feeling and healing and practicing and studying my way into a life that feels and looks so different than the one I inherited. Itâs nothing short of miraculous.
Iâve been deeply in love with interior design since I moved into my first apartment and discovered the maze of room possibilities on display at Ikea. My weekends at Ikea evolved into thrift stores and estate sales, watching waaaaay too much HGTV, copious interior design magazine subscriptions, and a terrifyingly unknown number of hours of my life spent scrolling Pinterest and design blogs. There was a momentâa tiiiiiiny momentâwhere I let myself dream of going to school in NYC for design instead of going to law school. Started the application, then decided that was a silly pipe dream, that design was just for my own enjoyment. And continued reading, watching, loving it as a hobby. Until 2018âone year after quitting my legal career and following my heart into an online business of storytelling, teaching, creating, and coaching through a subconscious and somatic lensâwhen I met a woman who practiced Feng Shui. Our friendship and short-term work together changed everything. Feng Shui was not a modality I felt called to explore more deeply. I would start to read books and lose interest, Iâd research classes and trainings but never care to see them through; Shui never felt like mine to claim. I began to widen my net and learn about other culturesâ ancient practices of relating to home and land, which led me home to my ancestral and spiritual lineage. I started adding âintuitive designâ into my work with coaching clients. It was the most natural, easy, true, coming home to my soul feeling I have ever had in any offering. It felt like Iâve been doing that work for lifetimes. In 2019 I offered âIntuitive Home Designâ to my services. In 2020 I began to string together all the through lines I saw with clients and created the first iteration of Subconscious Home Mappingâą. The work since has evolved alongside me and my continual obsessive studies, now at the intersection of healing and design. Hello, neuroaesthetics and holistic interior design and biophilic design and philosophy around beauty/art/spirituality aaaaaand my own spiritual and shamanic awakenings while facing generational trauma/patterns in my lineage I never wanted to face head on aaaaaandâŠ
The soil Iâm writing this publication from is rich in all Iâve lived, studied, and Become. To me, this is the most important thing to know when learning from someone. Especially in this age where AI has all the answers and the internet is full of #1 Expert in X aaaand impressive credentials articulated into intelligent marketing, while the depth of the work falls flat when you step behind the curtain. Just me?

AI disclaimer
You will not find any generative AI here. All writing is my own. I believe in the creative power of the human heart and soul more than even the most intelligent pattern recognizing system.
I sometimes use AI as a sounding board, asking it to ask me questions that help me think more deeply about something I am stuck on in my writing or to challenge my thinking if I feel it isnât fully formed and Iâm not sure where to go further.
I regularly use AI in my business for basic organizational and operational tasks. My brain hates these kinds of things. (INFP, Emo RRRR Projector, Cancer Midheaven, mystical magical irrational creative woman over here!) Implementing AI into these arenas has been a gamechanger as an overstimulated, overwhelmed, ssuuuuper sensie mom who wakes up at 4am to have quiet creative space and doesnât want any of that space being eaten up by tasky nonsense.
And. I feel deeply conflicted about using AI. I do my best to use it lightly and where itâs of highest impact to my heart and soul and family. And Iâm still not sure if thatâs too much, in consideration of the future.
Iâm wildly concerned about the impact of this technology on the planetâs resources and on the people inhabiting it. And at the same time seeing how impactful using it where I have has been on my ability to hold so much and show up so fully where it matters in my life.
I see the beautiful potential of this technology to liberate humanity to living more fully, freely, creatively. I see the long-winding road with many, many choices to be made to get there. And Iâm not confident in the current state of our political leadershipâs ability to make these choices thoughtfully, intentionally, and in consideration of the whole of humanity instead of as a bottom line.
I donât have answers. Only questions. And am, as Rilke says, continually living into the questions. Shifting my choices as my sense of whatâs aligned and true shifts.
